Bulondo Hope primary school educates more than 140 students, many of whom are poor or orphans. Many of the students must travel significant distances to attend school. Our school buildings are not wired for electricity, so lighting options are limited to kerosene or candles. This makes it very difficult to study or do homework, and teachers are unable to use classrooms after dark hence our students/staff lose 4-5 hours of productive time a day to darkness.
